- Experienced Advanced Inspector- $25.00 to $27.00 Per Hour
(DOE)
- Bonus $2,700What You Will Be Doing:The final Inspector is
responsible for the validation and detailed inspection of products
to ensure they meet company, customer, and industry standards. This
position will be able to understand special quality requirements
and perform detailed inspections of materials to ensure they meet
blueprint specifications. In the performance of their respective
tasks and duties all final inspection employees are expected to
conform to the following:
- Use precision measuring tools to assist with proper inspection
of the product.
- Access and understand specific customer portals to pull quality
records for inspection of that customer's material or product.
- Inspect dimensional and visual characteristics of hardware to
blueprint specifications and requirements.
- Verify conformance to applicable drawings, procedures, and
other approved documentation.
- Inspect materials to customer-specific requirements before
releasing outbound products to be shipped.
- Decision-making on the validity of parts and hardware to
determine meeting specifications and blueprints.
- Reject and document nonconformance of hardware that does not
meet the blueprint or specifications for disposition.
- Able to provide delegated inspection on behalf of the customer
when applicable.
- Evaluate and interpret blueprints, customer specifications
along with other technical data.
- Document inspection results by completing detailed inspection
reports.
- Scan quality documents and certificates into the company
imaging system.
- Validate first article inspection reports.
- Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct
supervision.
- Communicate effectively with both internal and external
customers.
- Work effectively as a team player on all tasks.
- Work independently while understanding the necessity for
communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees
and organizations.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Requirements:What You Need to Know:Education/Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in hardware inspection or
similar roleKnowledge:
- SAP ERP knowledge is preferred.
- Knowledge of various measuring precision tools
- Knowledge of using databases and portals
- Understanding of how to analyze detailed information.
- Demonstrated knowledge of reading blueprint specifications
- Shop math understanding
- Blueprint reading and translation knowledge.What Skills Are We
Looking For:
- Able to work independently with little to no supervision.
- Basic computer skills like Microsoft Office
- Demonstrated ability to effectively balance priorities.
- Strong organizational skills
- Sound judgment in evaluating parts and blueprints.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Able to be a team player.
- Outstanding attention to detail
- Beginner to intermediate level of ExcelLicenses/Certifications:
- Delegated certified inspection preferred.
- Certification in quality control preferredSpecial Success
Factors
- Ensure varying quota numbers are met throughout the day.
- Maintain personal monthly target average of between 20 to 24
inspection jobs completed per day. Work Requirements
- Able to work in a non-temperature-controlled environment
maintaining accuracy and execution of duties.
- Must be able to pass annual detailed eye exams with or without
corrective lenses on Jaeger and color screens.
- Able to lift up to 50lbs throughout the day.
- Must be able to effectively use calipers, micrometers, optical
comparators, ring gauges, height gauges, instant measure machines
