“We are an
Protective Equipement Observer - Four (4) Tempoary Full-Time
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Observer is a CMHS staff member
with training in PPE donning/doffing and hand hygiene
compliance. The PPE Observer reports to the Director of
Infection Prevention. They are responsible for system-wide
activities of minimizing risk of infection for personnel/patients
through clear PPE guidance, ongoing observation, and effective
reporting of deviations. As directed, will function as a
resource for Infection Prevention through proper PPE practices.
This position supports all CMHS facilities (CMH, OVCH
and Ambulatory Medicine Clinics).
Essential Functions and
clinical personnel in correct isolation/precaution procedures,
including proper techniques for donning and doffing personal
near misses or breaks in technique with staff, reports immediate
concerns to the charge nurse, and completes a log for Infection
