Due to the rapidly escalating situation with the COVID-19 virus,
this recruitment is focusing on hiring applicants who have a
clerical medical background, with knowledge of medical terminology,
willing to work various shifts including weekends and/or nights,
and who are comfortable working in proper personal protective
equipment in an environment of potential COVID exposure.
Under general supervision, performs a variety of clerical and
other duties in support of the County's response to the COVID
surge. Support activities may include public service, records
maintenance, document production, hospital admitting, answering
telephones, registration at testing sites, screeners, and/or case
Incumbents will perform a variety of clerical duties according
to established criteria and prescribed procedures. Some independent
judgment may be required in choosing among alternative courses of
action in mostly standardized operations or routine situations. All
positions are considered Extra-Help and temporary.

Union (SEIU) and is eligible for overtime compensation.
The eligible list established from this recruitment may be used
to fill current and future Temporary and Extra-Help vacancies.
