Description VSolvit LLC is seeking a Director of Business Development (Defense Industry)with knowledge and experience working and managing a business within the software and information technology field.The directorwill focus on customer acquisition, lead generation, oversee capture efforts, and conduct prospect management, customer retention, capture management, business development, market development, and PMO management. The director is responsible for leading identification of opportunities, coordinating preparations of proposals, planning, reviewing specifications, and assist with financial conditions of and managing large scale government contracts; GWACs, IDIQs. Responsible for managing growth and strategies, government procurement, vehicle & task order monetization, strategic & tactical planning, customer, capability, region, act as a liaison with our partners.

Responsibilities

Manage a team and resources in efforts to win large scale opportunities

Collaborating with executives on annual strategic and revenue goals, planning, and forecasting; maintaining short-term (3 years) and long-term (5 years) business development plans

Provide designs and innovations to attract and retain clients as well as provide business analysis on current marketplace and competitor activities

Overseeing and managing business development division. Managing capture managing team, task Orders; review RFPs, Go, No Go (Bid, No Bid) decisions.

Formulating presentations and delivering information to potential clients, industry exhibits, trade shows, and conferences

Arrange meetings for senior management with prospective clients and business partners

Plan and organize meetings with prospective clients and business partners

Position Requirements Basic Qualifications

Associates degree Computer Science, Information Technology or related is desired but not required

7+ years’ experience of aligning strategic resources to maximize customer positioning and PWIN

5+ years’ DoD and non-DoD federal proposal experience with Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA)

5+ years’ working with high volume proposal bids

5+ years’ experience leading teams to fulfill federal contract awards

4+ years’ experience supporting; ARMY, NAVY, USMC, Air Force, Coast Guard, and other DoD entities

United States Citizenship required

Ability to obtain Active DoD SECRET Security Clearance by working with the VSolvit Facility Security Officer is a condition of employment

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s, or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related is desired but not required

7+ years’ experience of managing Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) vehicles; ARMY Contracts

7+ years ofDISA and civilian Business Development; Army ITES 3S, DISA ENCORE 3, and CIOSP3/8A STARS/Alliant 2 SB etc.

6+ years’ of business development and management in software and information technology field

6+ years’ experience supporting; ARMY, NAVY, USMC, Air Force, Coast Guard, and other DoD entities

United States Citizenship required

Ability to obtain Active DoD SECRET Security Clearance by working with the VSolvit Facility Security Officer is a condition of employment
