Practice Areas: Internal Medicine & Family Medicine Note: Compensation is determined based on the years of experience and qualifications. Position Purpose: This position is responsible for managing the medical care of an assigned patient caseload, working collaboratively with the Chief Medical Director as outlined in the established protocol. The role includes operational leadership of the primary care team and reports to the physician team leader overseeing primary care operations. The Physician Specialist will also work closely with a nurse to support patient case management. Principal Responsibilities: Provide medical care to underserved primary care patients. Coordinate and deliver primary and preventive medical care to an assigned patient panel. Provide consultation to the nurses and other clinical staff regarding the medical care of patients. Consult with the Medical Director regarding the performance of midlevel providers and other back-office staff. Collaborate on planning and directing the activities of the primary care team as related to the physician’s specialty. Participate in medical service utilization audits, peer review, and quality assurance initiatives. Contribute to population health management efforts, focusing on HEDIS quality measures for paneled patients. Sign Delegation of Services Agreements for midlevel providers, following standardized procedures and protocols. Other duties as assigned. Requirements: Current California Physician & Surgeon License. Current DEA Certificate. Current CPR Certification. Ability to travel from site to site as needed. Experience in working with clients and staff from diverse socio-economic, ethnic, and cultural background. Demonstrated ability to implement patient-centered care approaches and evidence-based practices.
