Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Manager - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/23/2026 - Duration: 16 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Position: Nurse Manager Location: Bakersfield, CA 93311 Facility/Unit: Tele 4SW NSM (Telemetry) Care Setting: Acute Care Shift: Night Shift (3x12s) Schedule: Every Other Weekend (EOW) required. First to float. Contract: 16 weeks Start Date: 02/23/2026 Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week REQUIREMENTS - License: Active, unencumbered California RN License - Experience: Minimum 3 years. No first-time travelers. - Recent Role: Must have served as a Charge RN in most recent assignment. - Certifications: - BLS: American Heart Association (AHA) - ACLS: AHA - NIHSS: AHA or APEX - Charting: Cerner experience required. UNIT & ROLE NOTES - This is a Nurse Shift Manager position for a Telemetry unit. - Manager interviews will be conducted. - The role is a dynamic blend of charge nurse duties, clinical mentorship, and shift management responsibilities. - Key Responsibilities Include: - Providing on-shift clinical and operational leadership. - Ensuring safe, high-quality patient care delivery. - Rounding on patients to address service/safety concerns. - Serving as a clinical resource and resolving interpersonal issues. - Supporting staff and fostering a positive work environment. - Taking a charge nurse or potentially a patient assignment based on census and staffing needs.
