Cynet Health to find a qualified Telemetry RN in Bakersfield,
California, 93301! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN

Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 3 years License: Required
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Experience using NIHSS
on the floor High acuity and high-risk patient experience Chemo
certification is a plus but not required Description: The unit
operates with a fast-paced environment. There is a high patient
turnover with complex cases. Staff will manage high acuity and
high-risk patients. The patient ratio is 4 to 1. The unit has 30
beds. All candidates must possess certifications in BLS, ACLS, and
NIHSS. Experience with NIHSS is required. The unit uses an EMR
system for charting. There are nurse aides available during day and
night shifts. A charge nurse will be present if staffing exceeds 28
patients. Nurses will work 12-hour shifts with scheduled breaks as
per state law. Every other weekend off or a total of four weekend
days in a four-week schedule is required. There is a designated
scrub color requirement. Monitoring is provided by a dedicated unit
for telemetry. Nurses interpret their own telemetry strips with
support from monitoring techs. The unit supports various medical
interventions including titration of specific medications. Patients
may come from different care levels requiring a high degree of
care. Staff may float to other units based on operational needs.
Orientation will be provided for floating to other care areas.
Ongoing education and competency assessments are required annually.
Experience in stepdown units is beneficial, but not mandatory. 5
