Job Description Psychiatrist – Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) | Locum Tenens Ventura, CA 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. | 7 on / 7 off preferred About the Opportunity A facility in Ventura, CA is seeking a Locum Tenens Psychiatrist to support its Crisis Stabilization Unit, Emergency Department, and hospital consult service. This role offers a stable, ongoing schedule and the chance to work in a highly collaborative behavioral health environment. Schedule Shift: 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. Preferred Schedule: 7 on / 7 off starting July (ongoing) Additional Available Dates Prior to July: February 16–20 April 13–17 May 8–12 Responsibilities Provide psychiatric evaluations and treatment in the Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) Support psychiatric needs in the Emergency Department Conduct hospital-based psychiatric consults as needed Document using Cerner EMR Compensation Pay Rate: $250/hour (locums) Requirements MD or DO with psychiatry training Active California medical license (or ability to obtain) Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry Previous CSU, ED, or consult-liaison experience preferred Ability to work 12-hour shifts Interested?
