Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Trauma ICU Discipline: RN Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel \n Job Description\n American Traveler is seeking a Trauma ICU RN with a valid CA RN license, 1 year of trauma ICU experience, and required certifications for a night shift assignment. \n \n Responsibilities\n Work in a Trauma ICU caring for adolescent to geriatric patients Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:2 Three 12-hour night shifts per week (18:45-07:15) Floating required within the service line Primary charting system is Cerner and experience is required Daily responsibilities include complex patient management such as mechanical ventilation, cardiac and vasoactive drip titration, CVVHD/CRRT, neurocritical care (ICP monitoring, EVD), and post-surgical care Additional required skills include management of multi-system organ failure, insulin protocols, chest tube assistance, wound care, and infection prevention First time travelers are welcome Locals are accepted at the same rate All requested time off must be submitted at the time of application; additional requests will not be approved after placement Orientation includes mandatory modules and a one-hour harassment prevention course Scrubs are required per hospital policy \n \n Requirements\n Active CA RN license in hand Minimum 1 year recent trauma ICU experience Certifications required: ACLS, BCLS, NIHSS, and TNCC or TCAR Trauma experience required Advanced EKG exam with measurements (passing score 80%, two attempts allowed) Experience in surgical or trauma ICU settings required Cerner charting experience required COVID vaccination required \n Benefits\n High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts \n American Traveler Job ID P-629297.
