Job Description:

As a Systems Safety Engineer at ManTech, you will be pivotal in ensuring the safety and compliance of cutting-edge technologies and systems used in national security missions. Our projects impact critical sectors and your role will involve thorough safety analyses and the development of mitigation strategies to ensure all systems meet rigorous safety and operational standards. You will work collaboratively with diverse teams, contributing technical insights that uphold our commitment to safety in highly complex and dynamic environments. Conduct comprehensive safety analyses and risk assessments for engineering projects and systems. Develop and implement safety management plans and safety case reports. Ensure all systems are compliant with relevant safety regulations and standards. Work closely with engineering teams to integrate safety principles from the design phase through deployment. Facilitate safety reviews, audits, and hazard tracking processes. Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses to implement corrective actions. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of safety regulations, standards, and practices. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with safety analysis tools and methodologies (e.g., FMEA, FTAs). Excellent communication and documentation abilities. Ability to collaborate effectively across various teams. Proficient in risk management and mitigation planning. Certification from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP) preferred. Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus.
